Handgun Training Courses
Structured handgun instruction focused on safety, control, accuracy, and real-world defensive application.
Training is tailored to each shooter’s experience level and performance goals.
Training Philosophy: Every session emphasizes safe handling, repeatable fundamentals, and decision-making under controlled stress conditions.
Course Information
- Class Size: Limited to a maximum of 3 students per class.
- Range Fees: Included in course price (no additional lane or facility fees).
- Ammunition Requirement: Approx. 200 rounds of factory 115gr / 124gr / 147gr ammunition per student.
- Ammunition Availability: Available for purchase through range or approved vendors if needed.
- Firearms & Rentals: Students should bring their own firearm. Rentals available for $25 (ammo must be purchased if renting).
- Safety Gear: Eye and ear protection required (provided if needed).
Important: No steel-core ammunition. Brass-cased ammunition only.
Course Requirements & Range Policies
Eligibility
- Students must be 21 years of age or older.
- Individuals prohibited from legally possessing firearms under California or federal law are not permitted to participate or rent firearms.
- Individuals with felony convictions are not eligible to attend or use range rental firearms.
Required Identification
- Valid Driver’s License
- California DMV Identification Card
- Active Military ID
- Valid Passport
Safety Equipment & Attire
- Eye protection (provided if needed)
- Ear protection (provided if needed)
- Closed-toe shoes required (no sandals or flip flops)
- Recommended: long sleeves and appropriate protective clothing
- Avoid low-cut tops (spent casings may cause burns or discomfort)
Firearms & Ammunition
- Personal firearms are welcome and will be inspected prior to use.
- Personal ammunition is permitted and subject to inspection.
- All rental firearms must use ammunition purchased at the range at the time of rental.
- No steel-core, tracer, or otherwise California-prohibited ammunition is permitted.
- Competitive pricing on ammunition is available for purchase at the range.
Firearm Transport & Legal Notice (California)
- Firearms must be transported in compliance with California law at all times.
- Handguns must be unloaded and stored in a securely locked container during transport.
- Vehicle glove boxes are not considered lawful storage for handguns.
- Vehicle trunks may satisfy transport requirements when properly secured.
- Long guns may be transported unloaded in a vehicle, as they are not considered concealable.
- It is often illegal to transport loaded firearms in a vehicle unless lawfully concealed carry (CCW) applies.
